Rumor: New FIFA will come from 2K as FIFA 2K25
According to the leaker, the license has been acquired by 2K Games.

Following the end of the partnership between FIFA and Electronic Arts, the fate of the FIFA brand was unclear. EA, with its own club licenses, went the route of a name change, renaming FIFA to EA Sports FC. In fact, the organisation demanded a sum of 1 billion from EA, every four years, just for EA to use the FIFA name in its game.
The FIFA brand as the name of the main football game was free to sell, until today we didn't know who could take it. FIFA's president had previously teased that the organisation would only entrust the brand to whoever could bring a high quality football game to the market.
According to unconfirmed speculation on social media, we now know that the FIFA brand is likely to be acquired by 2K Games, the publishing company of Take-Two Interactive. 2K Games also publishes other sports games on an annual basis - NBA 2K, WWE 2K or PGA Tour 2K. They also recently resurrected the tennis brand Top Spin.
FIFA 2K25 will be released this year
2K Games thus has the know-how on how to monetize content in a sports game and how to release it on an annual basis. Leaks suggest that 2K Games' first football game under the FIFA license should arrive as early as this year. It is to be called FIFA 2K25.
However, 2K Games has one more football game in the pipeline. Lego 2K Goooal, which is an arcade version of football from Lego World. So it's not entirely clear if 2K is actually working on both an arcade and a professional soccer game. So take all this information with a grain of salt.
